Cold Storage: Forklift Driver

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily forklift checklist at the beginning and end of the shift.
• Conduct general forklift and maintenance checks daily.
• Operate forklift in compliance with required procedures.
• Ensure the safe supply of products to the designated area.
• Understand the process of issuing stock to the dispatch area and receiving stock from fishing vessels.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene on the forklift.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Good communication skills.
• Results-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong numerical and literacy skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• High integrity in stock control.
• Minimum of two years’ forklift driving experience.
• Stacker forklift experience will be to your advantage.
• Previous experience in cold store operations.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.

Education & Certification:

• Minimum educational qualification of Grade 12.
• Valid Forklift Driver’s License.

Cold Storage: Receiving/ Dispatch Clerk

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the receipt and dispatch of goods into the cold store with precision and efficiency.
• Conduct detailed checks of incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
• Perform numerical calculations and recordkeeping.
• Monitor stock handling processes within the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse methodologies and principles.
• Take accountability for results, including losses, damage, or theft.
• Perform backup stock checks.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cold Store Receiving/ Dispatch Clerk or similar role in the logistics or food industry.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (e.g., Pastel Evolution and Revo).
• Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Industry.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.

Education & Certification:

• Grade 12.
• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Storekeeping, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in warehousing or storekeeping in a commercial environment.

Cold Storage: General Workers

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and offload stock within the cold storage facility.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately according to dispatch requirements.
• Assist with receiving and checking incoming goods.
• Move stock safely using manual handling techniques or equipment where required.
• Ensure correct stacking procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the cold store.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including cold chain requirements.
• Assist with stock counts and general warehouse duties as needed.
• Report damaged stock, discrepancies, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or cold storage environment (advantageous).
• Physically fit and able to work in low-temperature conditions for extended periods.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.

Education:

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric).
